Shady Grove Elementary's March Gem of Appreciation is Jennifer Miller! Mrs. Miller serves as the speech language pathologist. On our campus, that means Mrs. Miller is evaluating and working with students as young as 3 years old all the way up through 2nd grade. She believes the single most important skill that a student needs to be successful is the ability to communicate effectively, and her belief is evidenced in her commitment to our students. She serves as the Special Education Team Lead, pivots acrobatically in order to serve the kids on her caseload and accommodate schedules, is a wealth of knowledge in Special Education, and puts in the time required to make sure her job is done well. Her colleagues say she is "changing kiddos' lives, one speech goal at a time!" We are grateful for you, Mrs. Miller!
