On Friday, we celebrated the educational careers and retirements of Mrs. Amy Hernandez, Mrs. Amanda Lastly, and Mrs. Teresa Lastly! Between the three of them, they committed 103 years of service in education. To top it off, 97 of those years were served here in Burnet CISD! Hats off to these educators whose influences are immeasurable! Thank you for your commitment to education and the youth of Burnet, Texas! You will forever be legendary teachers in our eyes!
Mrs. Hernandez began teaching in 1993 at Burnet Middle School. She is retiring this year with 31 years in education!
Mrs. Amanda Lastly began teaching in 1985 at Burnet Elementary. She retires this year with 38 years in education!
Mrs. Teresa Mather began teaching in 1988 in Taylor, Texas. She is retiring this year with 34 years in education!
