Mrs. Marvin's Class

A little about me.......
Welcome to Mrs. Marvin's Class!  I am so excited to be on this adventure in learning with you and your child. This is my 20th year to teach. When I began my teaching career, I started in Kindergarten.  Since the I have taught second grade and pre-k.  I am excited to be back in Kindergarten!  I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Professional Child Development.  I then completed my Alternative Certification when moving to Texas.  I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Special Education at Texas A&M.  Whoop!
I absolutely love teaching and am so excited to be joining the Kindergarten team this year!  My greatest moments in teaching are when a student is working really hard on a concept or activity and they all of the sudden understand. The sense of pride and accomplishment they feel is the best reward I could have as a teacher. I look forward to working with your child this year and sharing these milestones with you.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family.  My husband, Doug, is the superintendent/principal for Hallsburg ISD.   My daughter, Jazlyn, is studying engineering at Texas A&M University and my son, Sean, is a junior at Burnet High School.

We had fun looking for the Gingerbread Man who was lost in the school.  He even left us some gingerbread cookies for our snack!
