--homework should be 20 minutes, if you don't get everything done, it is okay. Try start with what you didn't get done the next day.
Every night your child will bring home some books.
Complete the homework by:
- complete the practice set by having the child say the letter name, the sound, then read the words on the back
- Do the book warm up with at least one of the books
- Have the student read the books in their bag (see 3 ways to read a book below)/read the books to/with them.
- If it doesn't take the full 20 minutes, you can read to your kiddo, talk about the books they've read, or find another book for them to read.
- Sign the Reading Homework (RHW) line on the PAW page.
