Hi! My name is Jennifer Giesenschlag
I moved here in 2001 with my family and we love Burnet. My grandmother and mother were teachers, along with several other members of my family. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in Reading. I am certified to teach Elementary Self Contained, Elementary Reading, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Early Childhood Education-Handicapped, English as a Second Language and Physical Education.
This is my 16th year teaching in Burnet. I have taught Fourth, Fifth, Third, Second grade and Pre-Kindergarten in BCISD . It is my 33rd year of teaching all together including 15 years in Pre-Kindergarten.
I'm married to Chris and we have four children. My oldest son, Case graduated from Texas A&M University, is married to Traci a middle school math teacher and is attending law school at South Texas School of Law Houston. My oldest daughter, Kerstyn graduated from Colorado State University and is a 5th grade teacher in Marble Falls. My daughter, Reagan is a freshman at Texas A&M and my son, Ross is a junior at Burnet High School.
I believe parent/teacher communication is extremely important! My conference period is between 8:10-9:00 every day. Feel free to call me at school at 756-2126 during that time, or leave a message and I will get back to you. You may also e-mail me at email@example.com. Please inform me of any concerns you have, or about times when you are particularly proud of your child!
I am looking forward to a fun and successful year!
