Wednesdays are Musical Theater Enrichment at Shady Grove Elementary! We are learning about the actors' tools (voice, body, and imagination). Second graders puts their brains together for some improvisational theater! First graders worked together to mime The Little Red Hen. Check out the clips from class below!
On September 13, 2017, Character Day was celebrated world wide... including at Shady Grove Elementary! Shady Grove's Gifted and Talented students learned about different character strengths and the importance of character. After some group discussion, the students made posters and a short video to educate the entire campus about the importance of character.

About Me
Hi! I am thrilled to be serving the elementary Gifted and Talented students of the district! I graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and am beginning my 11th year in education. I am currently working on a degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. I value the role as an educator with which I’m entrusted and will do all that I can to grow your child’s love and interest in learning!
I am Burnet raised and Burnet proud! I was born the sixth of seven children.  I married my high school sweetheart, Dan, and we have been blessed with three boys, Tanner, Cason and Graydon. I spend a tremendous amount of time watching my boys fish and play sports. As a family, we enjoy traveling, watching movies, playing mean games of Uno Attack, and late night trips for ice cream.
