Second Grade Implements Jeff Anderson's Patterns of Power Writing Strategies

Students discuss what they notice about the sentence, compare sentences, create
their own sentences that imitate the model, apply the grammar skill
being taught and edit sentences to recognize how small changes can
affect the meaning of a sentence. Students have been very excited
about the addition of this program. They love modeling the sentences
and use great critical thinking when they are comparing and editing
the sentences.
