Principal's Message

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Shady Grove Elementary. My name is Ginger Kassell, and I am honored to join this incredible school community here in beautiful Burnet, Texas.

This year marks my 20th year in education. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching first grade, serving as an intervention and behavior support teacher, and, for the past five years, working as an assistant principal. Each role has shaped my belief in the power of connection, consistency, and collaboration to help every child succeed.

At Shady Grove Elementary, our students come first. I am deeply committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where all Bulldogs feel valued and inspired to learn. As we begin this new school year, I look forward to partnering with families, teachers, and staff to continue building a strong foundation for academic growth and personal development.
