Rachel Cook
I am very proud to begin my fifth year with the Burnet CISD family! I have been working in education for more than 20 years. I have taught First Grade at Bertram and I am excited to be teaching Second Grade again at Shady Grove Elementary.
I am blessed to be married to my husband, James, for 16 years. He is an amazing support to me as a teacher. Our miracle, Olivia, is a strong 15 year old, who loves unconditionally. She plays on the BHS Drumline. Olivia and I are mermaid at heart- We LOVE the beach!
We live in our “little ranch” out in the country of Bertram. We have 5 dogs, 2 cats, over 30 chickens, a few cattle, couples horses and a miniature donkey! I hope to continue growing our small ranch.
My mission as a teacher is to help each and every student realize that through learning, they can enhance their life in a positive way. I will do my best each day to give my students relevant knowledge, the courage to try new things, the curiosity to seek new answers, the persistence to succeed, and the ability to be the best they can be.
