Lacey Heusinkveld, Assistant Principal

I am excited to be joining Shady Grove Elementary as the Assistant Principal. My journey to public education began by receiving my Bachelors Degree at Texas A&M University. It was there that my passion for providing all students with excellent education was ignited. I later continued my education journey by receiving my Masters degree in Education Administration from Texas A&M Commerce. Over the last 11 years I have enjoyed teaching Math, supporting teachers and students as an Instructional Coach. 

 

I love serving in public education and am committed to growing my own leadership in order to best support the students and teachers at Shady Grove! My hope is that all students know they are valued and capable. 

 

A little bit about me and my family...

We are joining Bulldog nation after recently relocating from the DFW Metroplex for my husband to join the BHS football staff. My husband and I met in public education, and have a shared family vision of investing in our students both personally and academically! We have a 1.5 year old named Jack who is excited to wear green and cheer on his daddy!
