Kerry Wagner Pre-K

Hello!  My name is Kerry Wagner, and I'm so excited to be a part of the best team here at Shady Grove.  I finished my Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies through Western Governors University of Texas.

I have been an instructional Partner for 2 years and 3 years as a teacher, here at BCISD. This year is my first year in PreK and I’m very excited.

 My greatest hope is for each of my students to leave my classroom with an excitement and love for learning, and to begin understanding their unique ability to contribute to this world!  

When I'm not at school, you will most likely find me spending time with my family.  I have been married to my husband for 17 years. We have two children. My Son is in 10th grade and my daughter is a 6th grader. My family is very active and I’m always running to practice or Girl Scouts, where I am a Co-Leader of my daughter’s troop.

I was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Michigan. After graduating college with an electrical engineering degree, I got a job with Intel and moved to Colorado, where I lived for 7 years. It was in Colorado that I met a Texan at work and knew he was my other half.

7:40-Enter classroom

8:00-8:25-Breakfast in cafeteria

8:25-9:30-ELAR/SS

9:30-9:55-Recess (on the little playground)

9:55-11:00- ELAR/SS continued

11:00-11:30-Lunch (whole class restroom prior)

11:40-12:35-Math/science integrated

12:35-1:25- Activity (restroom prior) 

 Mon- Yoga in Library

 Tues- Art

 Wed- Music

 Thur/Fri- PE

1:25-1:45-structured recess 

1:45-1:55-restroom break

1:55-2:40-nap

2:40-3:10-snack and pack up

3:20-dismissal bell
