Mrs. Jones Art Class

Hello, My name is Carrie Beth Jones. I am the Art teacher at Shady Grove Elementary!! My family and I have lived in Burnet and have been a part of this district and community for going on 21 years now. Go Bulldogs!!!! My husband and I both attended ACU in Abilene,Texas before moving here. In my  time here, I've have taught Pre-K , Kindergarten, First grade, and now Art!!! This will be my 4th year in this position.I absolutely adore sharing my love of art with kids!! I enjoy fun hands on activities where kids get to explore different types of media. You can find our beautiful art hanging in the halls of our school! I love how they brighten everything up and bring so much personality and  fun to our campus.

 

We were very busy last year into the Spring, creating a lot of incredible art. We will be working on creating art portfolios for grades K- 2nd. This is where we will keep all art created throughout the year. I'm currently working on a plan to get portfolios returned from last Spring due to Covid 19 and school closures. I can't wait to start a wonderful year, meet new faces and welcome back all of our sweet kiddos! Shady Grove Elementary is a great place to be!!!
