Abby O'Hair, Principal
I am thrilled to be leading as Principal at Shady Grove Elementary! My educational career began with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University and continued with a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I cherish my 15 years of experience in the Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and GT classrooms as well as in administrative positions.
I love the field of education! I love learning, and I LOVE teaching! I am a firm believer of the saying, "Children don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." At Shady Grove Elementary, we are in the business of capturing hearts, setting goals and expectations, making learning fun, and growth! At Shady Grove, we celebrate character and proudly carry the district's banner of SPIRIT, PRIDE, and HONOR!

I am excited to be the Assistant Principal of Shady Grove Elementary! I am a born and raised Burnet Bulldog...Class of 1993!
This is an amazing district and campus. We want great things for your student, and we work very hard to help your child. As Burnet Bulldogs, we like to show our Spirit, Pride and Honor. Staff and students show SPIRIT by being kind and positive to others. We take PRIDE in our work and demonstrate HONOR by striving for excellence.
