I am thrilled to be leading as Principal at Shady Grove Elementary! My educational career began with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University and continued with a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I cherish my 15 years of experience in the Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and GT classrooms as well as in administrative positions.

 

I love the field of education! I love learning, and I LOVE teaching! I am a firm believer of the saying, "Children don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." At Shady Grove Elementary, we are in the business of capturing hearts, setting goals and expectations, making learning fun, and growth! At Shady Grove, we celebrate character and proudly carry the district's banner of SPIRIT, PRIDE, and HONOR!

Nancy Estrada, Assistant Principal

 

I am excited to be the Assistant Principal of Shady Grove Elementary! This is my first year as an Assistant Principal, and my 15th year in education. I graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor with a Bachelors in Molecular Biology and then received my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech.  I have taught Pre-K, kinder, 1st, 4th grade and was a bilingual reading specialist K-5 for two years. It’s an honor to be a part of Burnet ISD and be part of Burnet Bulldog PRIDE! I look forward to working with you and making a difference here at Shady Grove.
