Mrs. Marvin's Class

A little about me.......
Welcome to Mrs. Marvin's Class!  I am so excited to be on this adventure in learning with you and your child. This is my 4th year to teach Second Grade.  Previously, I taught Kindergarten for 9 years in Houston.  I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Professional Child Development.  I then completed my Alternative Certification when moving to Texas.
I absolutely love teaching Second Grade!  My greatest moments in teaching are when a student is working really hard on a concept or activity and they all of the sudden understand.  The sense of pride and accomplishment they feel is the best reward I could have as a teacher. I look forward to working with your child this year and sharing these milestones with you.

Reading Steps

We are having a lot of fun reading steps and earning medals.  It has been so much fun, that I have been challenged to read as many steps as Brice by Spring Break.  I have 50 steps as of today.  If I lose, he gets to throw a pie in my face.  Thanks Mason for that idea.  I better go get reading!

Read, Read, Read!!!!!

We have had lots of students earn their 100 Steps! Congratulations!  Who will be the first person to read 200?
