Here in BCISD we honor the service of Martin Luther King Jr. by completing service projects. Our teachers and students work together to find ways to help in our schools and community. At Shady Grove we had a variety of projects including raising money for local animal shelters, collecting food items for local food banks and showing our gratitude to our Custodians and Cafeteria staff. Shady Grove students have BIG hearts!

In order to provide teachers and staff additional planning opportunities during this unprecedented school year, the District made revisions to the school year calendar. One of those revisions included making Monday, January 18 a holiday for students and a planning day for staff.

Small group time is a valuable part of our daily schedule here at Shady Grove. We have small group time in various subjects in the classroom, in Star Lab, in our GT & Enrichment programs.

Our campus Instructional Coach, Teresa Mather has put together a short video to help you with the basics of getting started with remote learning.

WOW! Where did November go? We had a lot of fun this month. We loved our visit from Mrs. Denton and her dog Dobby! We enjoyed listening to her read, Bad Dog, Marley.

Shady Grove Families, Thank you so much for your generosity! Our school collected 1,240 lbs. of food! This will help many families to have a good meal at Thanksgiving.
